area or $500 off any pre-owned vehicle that’s purchased at its annual “
2012 Independence and Mobility Fair
.” The event will take place at the company’s 500 Central Avenue, Bethpage, NY facility on Friday,
September 14
from 10am-5pm and on Saturday,
September 15
from 10am-4pm.

The fair attracts hundreds of people living with physical disabilities, their friends and families to learn about all types of accessibility products and services to help them be more independent and make their lives easier. Along with the vans, more than 30 organizations and exhibitors will be on hand with displays of home modifications, wheelchairs, scooters, lifts, adaptive equipment and services, and so much more. On Saturday, the young people will enjoy the Kid’s Carnival Corner with wheelchair accessible games, crafts, balloon animals, face painting, and even a red carpet fashion show. And there will be fabulous food, valet parking, and raffles with great prizes.
FREE 45-minute accessibility workshops
will run throughout the two-day event. Some of the topics will include: accessible travel, good health and fitness, wheelchair sports, canine companions, veteran’s benefits and services, home modifications, legal and financial services, and since October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, vocational training and employment tips.
FREE wheelchair tune-ups will also be provided by certified mobility specialists. Plus attendees can register to vote and learn how to use accessible voting machines.
