July Mobility Club – Public Transportation Options – July 17th 6PM

It’s Back!

July 2013 Mobility Club

While we are sorry for cancelling the June Bussani Mobility  Club meeting we are sure that the July meeting will make up for it. On Wednesday, July 17th at our Smithtown showroom we will be gathering to discuss Public Transportation Options with SILO (Suffolk Independent Living Organization) and we encourage any and all to attend this FREE (as always) meeting.
SILO will be sending three representatives to give a quick overview of SCAT-Suffolk Bus and to discuss other services that they are familiar with.  They will have info for you to take home as well as explain how to access SCAT.  The representatives are

  • Alice Young – Director of Programs & Services
  • Janet Evans – SILO Transportation Committee Chairperson
  • Marilyn Tucci – Advocacy & Outreach Coordinator (and SCAT user)

Refreshments will be served and while the presentation and Q&A will be from 6:30 to 7:30, arrive early to do some mingling and networking.  And if you are attending, go to our Facebook page and let us know.  And like our page as well if you haven’t! We look forward to seeing everyone at this fun and informative event.

Our Weekend was the Pits! (In a very good way)

John & Dan at Pocono 400 with Simon Pagenaud of Schmidt Peterson MotorsportsThis weekend our owners, John & Dan Bussani had the opportunity to attend the Pocono Indy Car 400 as the guest of Sam Schmidt.  Sam’s racing team, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, was participating in this 11th leg of the 2013 schedule.  As an added treat, John & Dan were able to spend time in the Pit observing the Pit crew’s finely tuned performance in support of driver Simon Pagenaud as well as get up close and personal with the amazing machine he drives.

Schmidt Peterson Indy CarAlthough the heat was a challenge, the day was exciting and while the Schmidt Peterson Team did not make the podium, Simon finished 6th (seventh in the IZOD IndyCar Series Championship standings) and his teammate, Rookie Tristan Vautier finished 19th due to technical issues.  Bussani Mobility wants to congratulation the whole Schmidt Peterson Motorsports family for a respectable showing and a huge thank you for inviting us to enjoy a close up view of the action.

Cool Runnings – The Importance of AC Service

The Importance of AC ServiceThe dog days of summer are fast approaching and on a hot day, there’s nothing like that refreshing blast of chilled air. But to keep you cool, all the right car parts need to be in good working order. Over time, seals, o-rings, and hoses can wear out and fittings can become loose.

The result?

Refrigerant leaks, which take a toll on your comfort — and the environment. Worse yet, leaks can damage other components, like the compressor and evaporator. Early detection will save you time and money.

The Importance of AC ServiceAt all three of our Bussani Mobility locations you can schedule an appointment to have your vehicle’s AC system checked and serviced (and while you’re at it you should schedule the annual maintenance check-up if you haven’t already) so that all of your summertime travel will be worry (and perspiration) free!
